Sandblasting is abrasive and leaves spent media to clean up. Dry ice blasting sublimates, leaving only the removed contaminant, and is often gentler on surfaces.
Cleaning machinery, molds and sensitive surfaces where residue or abrasion is a problem.
Heavy profiling or deep rust removal can call for abrasive methods.
Dry ice releases carbon dioxide gas and requires proper ventilation. Handle only with insulated gloves, and never seal it in an airtight container.
