Dry ice is identified as UN1845 and regulated as a Class 9 hazardous material for many shipments. Requirements may vary by carrier, shipment and mode of transportation — confirm with your carrier.
Dry ice releases carbon dioxide gas and requires proper ventilation. Handle only with insulated gloves, and never seal it in an airtight container.
