Match the refrigerant to the required temperature: dry ice for frozen, gel packs for refrigerated. Size for transit plus delays, and follow carrier requirements.
Dry ice can freeze refrigerated products. Use it only when the product should stay frozen, or separate carefully.
Requirements may vary by carrier, shipment and mode of transportation.
Dry ice releases carbon dioxide gas and requires proper ventilation. Handle only with insulated gloves, and never seal it in an airtight container.
